Glue ear in children is usually treated with antibiotics or grommets. Several courses of antibiotics are normally needed, which means the essential bacteria within the child are being targeted. This is never in the direction of true healing.
Grommets means a surgical operation to allow the ear to drain.
Neither approach is well handled by many children.
So what other options are there for treating glue ear?
Like everything in life, there are a multitude of different ways of approaching something.
Homeopathy has an excellent track record of completely resolving glue ear quickly and easily. If you are new to homeopathy, then it’s best to consult with a professional homeopath.
If you have used homeopathy before, then you might like to try your hand at some home prescribing.
First, purchase a home prescribing kit from a reputable homeopathic pharmacy. This will come with basic instructions.
Then make a short list fo your child’s glue ear symptoms. Symptoms such as the character of the pain, the time of day the pain is worse, whether heat (holding the hand over the ear usually indicates warmth helps) or cold improves the pain.
And anything else that seems connected, such as lack of energy, or wants company all the time.
Then look through the symptoms in the instructions and note the remedies that have these symptoms. You should have a common remedy that appears beside each symptom. If you do, then cheek the remedy. If it matches, then that remedy is likely to resolve the whole problem, with just a handful of doses.
If there is no improvement after about four doses, then it’s back to the drawing board for you.
If you don’t seem to be getting anywhere, then you may need to consult with a professional homeopath. Some conditions are too complicated to treat yourself.
